Tigmi.co: The Moroccan Startup Redefining How We Design Our Homes with AI

In North Africa’s evolving tech landscape, few startups embody cultural identity and innovation as seamlessly as Tigmi.co.

Derived from the Amazigh word ⵜⵉⴳⵎⵉ (Tigmi) meaning “home”, this new AI-powered platform is on a mission to democratize interior design, making it simple, fast, and accessible to anyone, anywhere.

Founded by Yassine Nokry, a Moroccan engineer and entrepreneur with a background in tech, finance, and product development, Tigmi.co transforms a simple photo of a room into a beautifully designed space within seconds. Users upload an image, choose their preferred style, and let AI reimagine their interiors instantly, no design experience or expensive software required.

“We built Tigmi to remove the friction between imagination and execution,” explains Nokry. “Interior design has long been a privilege for those with access to tools or professionals. Our goal is to make it universal, intuitive, and local.”

But Tigmi isn’t just about beautiful renders. Its upcoming “Shop the Look” feature will bridge the gap between inspiration and action by connecting users directly to local furniture stores and artisans offering items that match their generated designs.

This blend of AI technology and regional commerce could have major implications for the home décor industry in emerging markets, especially in Morocco, where traditional craftsmanship meets rising digital adoption.

Currently available as a web app at www.tigmi.co, Tigmi will soon expand to the App Store and Google Play. The startup’s long-term vision is to scale across Africa and the Middle East, empowering local economies through technology that celebrates cultural roots while serving a global audience.
